Biography

I was born and raised in East Cleveland, OH, and currently reside in Cleveland with my husband and two daughters. I received my undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and my medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

I am certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

My clinical expertise in pediatric procedural sedation helped earn my division national recognition as a center of excellence in the field.

I am passionate about reforming healthcare and wish to see medicine restored to a focus on the individual doctor-patient relationship where patients have affordable evidence-based care, choice, transparency, and excellent health.

I served as President and a Co-founder of PHYSICIANS FOR PATIENTS, an organization that champions physician-led medical care, seeks to increase the number of practicing physicians, and advocates for credential transparency of health professionals.

I am also a member of the Free2Care Coalition, hosted Free2Care the Podcast, and a contributing author of both of Free2Care’s A Physician-Led Roadmap to Patient-Centered Medical Care.

I also advocate for the whole health of children through my work with Urgency of Normal and Restore Childhood.

I left medical practice in 2022. I am focused on improving and maintaining my health, supporting my husband, and raising my teen daughters. I have a very energetic Aussie named Baxter who keeps me physically active. I am politically engaged in my community and work as the Editor of the Restore Childhood Newsletter.

I adopted the name Dr. Nikki from social media supporters. You can find me on X and Threads as @notaproviderMD and on Substack.
